DVD Rentals?

We're heading down for our first DVC trip next week. I think I read somewhere that DVC members can check out DVDs for free from the front desk. How does this work? Do you check them out when you first check in and return when you check out, or is it a nightly rental? Can you take more than one at a time? What is the selection like?

When we stayed at BLT, we got them from the Community Hall. We were allowed to take two for the night and they were due back by noon (I believe) the next day. They told us that if they were not yet open, just slide them under the door.

The selection is pretty good. Not just cartoon type movies, but plenty of titles that adults and teens would enjoy.

If you are not a DVC member, the movies can be rented for a few dollars.

At some resorts like VWL and Jambo-AKV the DVDs are in the store. You may need to show the blue member card to check them out. For me, the toughest part is remembering to turn them in the morning, especially if we're heading out to a park. This is how I finally saw Cars!

We were able to take up to 3 a night at BWV and if we wanted to renew we just needed to call. It was a great benefit that we used often!
