DVD Players at Hilton Head ?

I was curious, are there dvd players in the one bedroom villas at Hilton Head? We are planning a our first trip and have lots of questions. Thanks!

I bring my own portable DVD player. there is a closet under the main building full of DVD/VCR combos, but I don't think they have replaced them yet. I saw them unloading them from a truck this past September. I don't know what the delay would be if they are for the resort.

You would need to bring your own movies as the choices at HHI are not very many or good.

We just returned yesterday from HH. Upon check-in we were told they were in the process of switching rooms from VHS to DVD players, and if we had a VHS but wanted DVD we could call the desk and they would make the switch for us. When we got to our room, it did have a VHS player, so we called and they happily switched it for us to DVD within the first half-hour of our stay. We rented The Incredibles and Ladder 49 while we were there. I don't know what else was offered on DVD since I wasn't with DH and kids when they checked these out.

They are in the process of replacing the VCRs with DVD players. Right now it's kinda like Forrest Gump: "You never know what you're gonna get".

We're at HH right now and have a VCR in our room; our last trip (New Years) we had a DVD. The movies to check out are all still VHS, I think. You can always ask the resort to switch for you, if you don't have the "right" player in your room.

Thanks so much guys, I knew I could count on you! It sounds like we could use the dvd player at HH, but bring some of our own dvds. Or bring our playstation2, since it plays dvds, or just plan to have too much fun outside to be inside to watch anything. It is just always nice to have along for backup, or a rainy day, or a sick kid.

The one BR we were in a couple weeks ago didn't have a DVD player, just VCR. Otherwise, beautiful unit!
