DVD Players at BCV Studio?

I'm curious too. When we stayed at SSR in a studio last November there wasn't one. But then again there wasn't a remote or a alarm clock either.

We just returned on Saturday from a trip to BCV. Our studio did have a DVD player in it (as well as brand new sheets on the bed and new towels :thumbsup2).

When I stayed at BCV in 9/2006, my studio had a DVD player. I think that by now, all the studios have DVD players. I know that in the 2 trips since then, I've always had a DVD player. Here's what they look like:

been to OKW twice this year - first stay no DVD - this time there was a DVD. they had to change the dresser (like the old one better) - but it was there.

haven't heard about any at BWV - yet!

try for one and see what they tell you.

I requested one and they told me they told me no. My son really wanted to watch a movie he bought one night. Let us know if they give you one!!

Just returned a couple of weeks ago and we did have a DVD player in our BCV studio.

I think the problem with requesting them is that some of the TV's do not support a player.

We were at BCV last Christmas in a studio and did not have a player so I requested one and they did bring it to me, but there was no way to switch to the AV channel we needed. The TV remote was a generic remote with 5 buttons on it and there was not a way to switch the TV to the right signal.

Believe me, Dh and my 2 boys can hook up a PS2 to any TV in 10 seconds, but it just was not happening in this studio.:goodvibes

So the TV's may need to be switched out of some villas before they can put in a DVD.

We just returned from the BCV this past Saturday. Our studio (room 128) did not have a DVD player and, boy, were we disappointed. My grandson had a new movie he wanted to watch. It never occurred to me to call and ask for one, but from what you all say, it probably wouldn't have worked, anyway.

By the way . . . If anyone's still keeping track, room 128 is handicap accessible. I thought about asking to switch out, but after considering the location (right off the BCV lobby) and the view (first floor, quiet pool) we stayed where we were and loved it! Well, we loved everything except the roll-in shower and the lack of counter space.

They really should have designed the handicap-accessible studios with more thought. Those who need them need counter space, too. They shouldn't have to settle for less.

And, that's my 2 cents for the day.

We had that very same room in May as part of a 2BR lockoff and there was a DVD player in it then. :confused3

It was however missing the floor lamp! I called and someone came with a light bulb, then finally understood what I meant.

I agree about the counter space. Our DD needs the rollin shower but she also could use some counter space and hooks.

Hmmm-makes me wonder if someone just got themselves a DVD player for a real good price, like free! I hope not-it would mean that we members all paid for it.

I know. We were really surprised. I knew I had read that they added DVD players to the studios, so we bought the new Robinsons movie while we were at the Polynesian Resort for dinner. Imagine our surprise (and disappointment) when we got back to the room and found we had nothing to play it on. :confused3

It does make you wonder if someone walked off with it. Sure hope not. Worse yet, I hope they don't think we took it. :scared1:
