Did you know that the points you use for the Disneyland Paris Hotels also inlcude passes for your length of stay! We are planning a London excusion for 2004 and are now going to take the Euostar train from London to DLP and stay at one of the resort for 2-3 days! I don't need to budget for passes! WooHoo!

Breakfast is included in the room rate covered by your points as well (at least it was when we were there in December), so it can work out a pretty reasonable deal.

Have a great time.

Also admission is included on arrival and departure day. It was that way in January. The breakfast is rather nice. I would suggest getting there early to avoid the rush.

It's a great perk , particularly if there are 4 of you sharing a room. IMHO the points cost is kinda high for just 2 people, but the passes and breakfast make it worthwhile for 3 or more, JMHO. Good choice on taking the train, it's a great journey. Direct into DLP makes it a far simpler journey.

Can someone give me an example of how many points we're talking about for say, a family of 4?

My party of four is staying at the Disneyland Hotel at the end of this month, using points. It is costing us 62 points/night. The other hotels cost (somewhat) fewer points, but after reading about the various Disney hotels, we decided to splurge on their top-of-the-line hotel.

I believe that you are charged by the room, not according to how many guests stay (up to the 4/room maximum). Hence, Mom (who will have her own room the rest of our trip) will be sharing a room with the three of us at the Disneyland Hotel! :)

Newport Bay Hotel is only 38pt/night(deluxe) and Sequoia Lodge is 32/night(mod) for summer 2003. We are looking at Newport Bay for summer 2004..it looks beautiful on the DLP website! You get alot for 38 points ; length of stay passes and breakfast for all in the room(up to room capacity. WOW!

Wow, that sounds like a great deal. I'll have to check into that for our next trip maybe. Thanks guys!!!

Connears, I see you've heeded our advice about Sequoia Lodge, but I would just like to point out that I don't think the Newport Bay is classified as deluxe. The room sizes and amenities are on a par with Sequoia, though reports suggest that the rooms are in better condition!

The Newport Bay is still a very nice, comfortable hotel though - have you read the FAQ and information thread about it on the DLP board?

Bexx thanks for the heads up. The DLparis official site listed the amenities and I beleive it said deluxe. Either way, It looks fine and has all we really need. Sequoia looked nice from the outside , but did not see the interior and will take your word(an others). I think I can stand anything Disney for 2 nights! By the way, The New York Hotel looks very weird! Strange decor..not to my liking at all! Still planning for Summer 2004 London and DLP.

Sam, I stayed at the Disneyland hotel and it was great! The room was huge (basically an American hotel size, which compared to the regular European rooms makes it huge!) and the location cannot be beat.

I did it on cash and I don't even want to think about what it cost, but I told myself it was a once in a lifetime thing. I was there in late November so it was fairly cold which made the location even better, I could walk back to my room to warm up.

If I go back I will probably do the other deluxe hotels, but.... I did love the Disneyland. I liked the look of both the Sequoia and Newport hotels.

Connerars, I am thinking of adding a day or two to my May 2004 France/England trip just to go to DLP again. It is a beautiful park. (I have to add days to go because there is so much else I want to see in France and we have plans to see the Chelsea Flower show in London!)

Even if you're not staying there, do go and have a look at Sequioa Lodge. The bar and lounge area very attractive, though it certainly doesn't have the wow factor of Wilderness Lodge. Also I don't know what it will be like visiting in the summer, as we always go in the winter and so can enjoy the huge log fire they have there.

Yes, the decor at the New York does look strange in the photos, but, honestly, once you're in the rooms the decor seems quite restful!! The rooms are also a similar size to the Disneyland Hotel so more what you're used to. The rooms at the Newport Bay are a bit smaller. But I think for a couple of nights you'll be just fine at the NB, it certainly has enough amenities to keep people happy for a short visit.

Thanks for all the info. I am looking forward to walking around one or two of the other resorts and maybe eating dinner in one. Too early to plan that! I think we will go with New port Bay and exlpore the ohters as able.

I've stayed at both the Hotel New York and the Sequioa, they were both decent hotels, although as Americans you may find the rooms a little smalelr than you're used to ( By European standards the rooms are pretty big, but I'd say they compare with the value resorts at WDW)
For choice I prefered the Sequioa for ambiance and I thought the restaurants looked a little more to my style.

It's a very short walk to most of the hotels and quite a nice way to walk off an evening meal :D

Yes! We were THRILLED to find this out. My father-in-law lives in London, so we've been twice now. We've stayed at Sequoia Lodge and Newport Bay and loved them both. We got park passes and breakfast every morning. The rooms were huge and clean. We were really happy with the experience both trips. The Eurostar was such an easy trip -- and with the trains being right at Disney, we easily scooted into Paris too! And DL Paris' Magic Kingdom is by far the most beautiful.

For an extra $5 or $10/day (can't remember which, but totally worth it), they'll even bring your breakfast to your room for you. You choose what you want from a card in your room and hang it on the door -- the selections are basically the same as what you'd get at the restaurant, but without waiting in the HUGE queue lines to get in. However, the room service is not prompt, so take that into account when ordering.

The Disneyland hotel has a wonderful character meal, as does Walt's in the park. We enjoyed both of these -- different characters for us than we'd usually see at a meal at WDW. Also really enjoyed Walt's for dinner and the Saloon (it's actually a sitdown restaurant) at Disney Village was phenomenal!!!
