What are DVC points. Sorry in advance if this is wrong forum but I read it on one of the post and was not sure what it was. We go to WDW every 2 years and I have never heard of them.

DVC = Disney Vacation Club, Disney's version of a Timeshare property

Boy, do YOU have a lot of reading to do! I'm not sure how you missed all the Disney Vacation Club kiosks all over WDW, but that IS the WORST kept secret in all of WDW! If you think timeshare and then think Disney, you will find that DVC is about as similar to some standard timeshares as WDW is to the amusement park in town.

Man you guys are tuff! I feel like I am getting scolded for not knowing about it. I am sure I have seen the places in the parks but it always gave me the apperrance of time share and I run from those people! They waste your time and we can never fit everything in as it is. So I thought I would ask to see what the DVC was, I did not know that it was Disney timeshare.

Don't let the timeshare thing scare you. Disney pioneered the point system. (I'm sure I'm wrong about that and someone will correct me), but they at least refined it and DVC is the Disney lover's home away from home. If you visit disney often then you should look into it.

You aren't being scolded, just a little humor (its been kind of dull around here lately and new blood is fun) Definitely stick around these boards and you will learn a lot. Check out the link provided above, order the video, and ask more questions... truly.

This was originally moved to the DVC-Planning board, but I'm going to go and move it over the the DVC-Operations board as this is a topic about how DVC works, and not about planning a DVC vacation.

Each of the DVC boards has a 'sticky' thread at the top which lists the types of topic appropriate for each board.
