OK mind you I haven't visited it in say almost forever....So, after reading info about the cruise I decide to go read about it...

Try to log on....it says input Club ID and Pin....search the files...YIPPEEE I still have these....plug them in it says they are invalid....but all my info pops up on the screen I just can't go any further....

ARRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The site is terrible; meaning it doesn't work!! It did for a while though. Technical support is no better....somewhat nonchalant about the whole situation.
They need to step up the support or disable the site!!!

Have you already registered and changed your log in information?

I was quite surprised today when I was able to get in. I was ready to not even try. Surprise was on me today when I got in without a problem -- using my own user id and password, not the one from the card we received in the past.

Good luck.

I understand that there have been a *lot* of problems with the site. It's a real black eye for DVC, if you ask me. I'm not thrilled with their WDW site either...so maybe it's my expectations (though I doubt it!)

I'm under the impression that once you log in initially with the special DVC number and PIN, you don't ever need to use it again? I just use my regular user name and password (which was set up right after I logged in with the DVC number and password). I have yet to find a problem (knock on wood!)

The content of the site is lacking (come on...what decent resort company doesn't have panoramic views of their accomodations these days?)...but at least they are putting new information (Member Cruise, etc.) out there.

Hope I never have to call technical support! Sounds unpleasant.

I only had problems with the initial sign up when the new site went live. Called in the morning for technical support. They discussed the problem, walked me through a few troubleshooting efforts, then said that they needed to get someone else to consult on it. Said to give them a few hours to work on it. That afternoon all worked fine. They linked my DVC information with my general WDW login. So now I use my WDW login for all Disney sites.

Wish I could help those of you who are still having problems, but its not my area of expertise. Good luck getting it fixed!

I have been asked to complete two online surveys about my satisfaction with the new site. I give it high marks as an improvement over the old site and a much richer use of the internet.

But I grade it as only so-so for its functions. I don't get what is so difficult about online account managment and reservation capabilities. Its not as if the software would be something new, many other websites offer this and have for years. But again, this is not my area of expertise so maybe I just don't know enough about the technical aspects of those capabilities.

That's correct kweaver. The DVC number and pin are one time use only. You are then prompted to create a user name/password or use an existing Disney user name/password. I too, have not had any problems accessing the website. I do agree that the content is lacking...

The DVC site is not compatible with Netscape Navigator. If you are using that browser, try loging in with Internet Explorer.

Sometimes I can get in but most times no. I finally logged in one night by accidently entering my DH's name. Got right in without a password!

Better to say it's *ONLY* compatible with Internet Exploder. A situation I find completely lame. I haven't checked to see if I can get it working with the new Firefox and the User-Agent switcher extension. It doesn't work with Firefox as a standalone.

A definite thumbs down for Disney on this one! :(

Overall I am disappointed in the dvcmember.com site. I find the font difficult to read. It lacks pictures and graphics — lines and lines of text are just hard to read. It’s complicated to find basic information. I really hate to be negative, but overall I’d give it a “D”.

Let’s face it, for real information, you have to visit disboards.com and the layout of wdwinfo.com is much more user friendly.

I've never had a problem getting on the site, but I use either IE, or AOL's browser. Certainly agree the site is slow and lacking detailed content.

Maybe DVC should just put a link to the DIS on their site!

Zurgswife, try again! I had the same thing happen yesterday, but kept trying with repeated attempts. About the 4th try I got in. Hadn't changed a thing, just kept repeating. Must be glitchy.

same thing is happening to me. I was beginning to think I forgot my password, etc., but I didn't. Not shocked this is happening.

I'm almost positive it will take the same login info you use to get into disneyworld.com and abc.go.com and disneycruise.com. They should all be the same login. That's the one I've been using (even after entering the initial club id number and password combo we received in the mail).

Yes...I had that trouble yesterday with Netscape 7.1. This is the site I always used in the past for the dvc site because I had trouble downloading the pdfs via IE. but Netscape always worked fine. Now it's the other way around. I haven't even tried it on my mac yet. :scared:

Thanks for all the advice....do use Internet explorer....I have tried a number of times...my id is different then my abc and disney.go id...it shows my id and *** for the password then asks for my dvc id and pin number.....doesn't work.....

I got on the site once, quite easily I might add, and haven't been able to get on since then. In a way it is frustrating, but at the same time, there really isn't anything on it that I can't find out by looking elsewhere. I thoguth I would try it again this evening, after reading your post, and still can't get on. I liked it the old way much better!

All I can say is
I don't like it. It has potential but needs alot of work!
