DVC Waiting Lists

My wife and I are planning to go 2/18/07 thru 2/25/07. All DVC resorts right now are book for studio rooms most nights during that stay. I even tried to piece together swapping from one resort to another but there are still a few days not available. Saying all of that I have put are names down on a waiting list for any of DVC resorts that may come available. Do you think we have any luck getting a studio anywhere? Has anyone ever not got anything when on a waiting list? When should I panic?

I had a waiting list not come through last June for a Studio.

We have had great luck w/waitlist. We have followed up every couple of weeks and had great luck in Sept. and just had it come through again for December 10. Yeah member services!

Definately have a plan. If you can't piece together enough days at various locations, maybe plan B can be to reserve a 1 bedroom for the days w/ no availability for studios. I think you have plenty of time to wait this out on waitlist, before you need to panic. You could also consider reserving rooms at desired locations w/cash reservations (DVC discount) or annual pass discount. Just some thoughts... I just wanted to share that we do have good luck w/waitlist, Plan B and regular follow up w/Member services. Good luck.

We were on the waiting list for the same time.

I called to check and lo and behold, I had just cleared but they hadnt called yet.

If I were you, i would call.

My advice is to have a back up plan (if you don't already). The week you are trying to book is President's week - a popular time for many to visit WDW as there are several schools that have that entire week off.

It's late to be booking a Holiday week - it's possible that something will work out for you, but there are most likely others ahead of you on the waitlists.

Do check the DVC website on a regular basis - sometimes you find out there that your waitlist came through before they call or write.

The week you are trying to book is President's week - a popular time for many to visit WDW as there are several schools that have that entire week off.

Like the whole NE has this week off! OK, maybe not the whole NE but a large portion.

A waitlist that I had for 3 days for a BWV 2 bedroom during that week just came through and I waitlisted at exactly 7 months for the whole 3 days (not day-by-day). I still have a waitlist for Monday for only one day (VWL 2 bedroom) that I did exactly at 7months at 9am.
