DVC Vinylmation!!

Okay, I've been MIA for a while, so I might be a late poster about this, but I just got our new Spring Disney Files mag, and saw that they have a new Vinylmation with DVC design for sell JUST for DVCers!! I wonder if they will sell them on the cruise ships? We are going to be on the Dream in May, but otherwise won't be going to WDW till December....which I doubt if they'll have any left by then.

Anyway, I thought this was cool, and thought I'd share with the other DVCers that like the vinyalmations.

That's our first DVC souvenir for our first DVC stay at VGC on 2/14 to 2/17! I havn't taken it out of it's plastic wrap. I wanted VGC pin too but out of stock.

When I was at the world a couple of weeks ago, I checked a few places and was told it was sold out. I even checked the big Vinylmation store in Downtown Disney and no luck. I picked one up on ebay. I had to laugh when I saw it in the latest Disney Files yesterday.

I was at DLR the day they debuted..I checked the store that day (was it Vault Disney?) and of course they were sold out..I haven't seen it again. Where did you find yours at DLR to the poster who got one there?

Wow, that's ridiculous!! I checked, they do have a few on Ebay....but I was sidetracked by the Police Badge Vinlymations and bought it instead. (Work in law enforcement and collect Micky cop stuff) I'll probably go back on Ebay and get the DVC one soon.

I don't need to buy any more dust catchers. I've got plenty of DVC and Disney stuff to last me for years.

I wish they would make the DVC items known and available to us DVCers, though, before they sell out!! Its sad that they show up on ebay for others before we are able to buy any for ourselves. Same for passholder items. It would be nice if that sort of a thing was offered in a mailing. DVC members are always hollering for items which state who we are and then we can't even buy them because they sell out too quickly. I like having the dust collectors, personally. Dust Mickies blend nicely among the dust bunnies!

I agree!! I hate that they buy them just to make a profit off them too. I'm with you on the Dust Mickies!! I'm not muck of a nic-nac person, but I love my disney stuff, and I usually buy just something that has special meaning (memories) to me....which is just about everything at Disneyworld. Ride the Segway, I have to have a Segway pin....attend the Food & Wine fest, have to have a pin for that, and glasses...go during Flower & Garden, have to get the Tinkerbell bird bath. But then, we own DVC, I guess it's a given that we are Disney lovers!

I bought mine tonight at the D Street in Downtown Disney California. It comes in a cute tin and cost $12.95. The CMs said they still had a few at the VGC gift shop also.

There's a Mickey cop one? I'll need to get that for DS..
I refuse to start collecting an item Disney produces just for that purpose, (like PINS holy cow) but these are growing on me a bit

This past October at BLT/CR Fantasia Shop.

And someone is getting me the badge one, as I am in the same boat as you!

Ah yes..D Street...I get that one confused with Vault Disney. They didn't have any at VGC when I went in January so maybe they restock and I can get one in August

I got it at Acorn gift shop at VGC along with DVC case for cards, money or room key. They have other DVC merchandise there but didn't like them. Also got some Disney dollars which I am told is being phased out.

World of Disney at DLR Downtown Disney didn't have DVC items.

My last visit was the first time...ever....that they wanted my original member card. I had it in the room and was able to retrieve it however; the KTTW with DVC MEMBER on it was always enough to allow purchase, if asked. The manager at Kidani was insistent that I prove I was the DVC owner. It was the first time I thought that maybe they are cracking down on this type of stuff.

That is so kind an offer, but I just bought one from eBay last night. Thank you so much I love random acts of kindness! I'm really glad they are being vigilant on who they sell to, so members have that perk
