DVC Trade to Williamsburg July 4th, 2006, Anyone?? :)

Hi!

Our family currently has a 2-bedroom unit, sleeping 6 with full kitchen, available July 1 - 8, 2006 at Williamsburg Plantation, Virginia. We are interested in trading for a 2-bedroom unit anywhere on WDW property for May 7/8 - 14/15, 2005. We have the exchange listed through II (Interval International).

We've had this request pending for several months and in the past few years we have been able to exchange our July 4th weeks at WPN for OKW. We've tried to stay at other DVC resorts to try something new, but we've only ever received OKW. We all really LOVE the atmosphere at OKW, especially when first arriving to here, "Welcome Home!" Unfortunately, time beforethis vacation is escaping us and our sons (11, 9 & 6) are getting very anxious about not being able to stay on property to take advantage of EMH, as we have been able to do in the past several years, so I said I'd try to see if I could find some Pixie Dust before our trip . They wouldn't care otherwise, except for the fact that their cousins are staying ON property and they'll be very disappointed if they couldn't do EMH together (kwim?) LOL. I'm sure that the timing of the 50th Anniversary may have something to do with the difficulty in finding a match for our request and we will hold off as long as we can until we give in and opt for the several locations available off-site. Whatever may happen though, we will be at WDW and going on our first Disney Cruise on the Wonder 5/5 - 5/8/05!!

We also have a second 2-bedroom unit available for July 1-8, 2006, that has yet to be redeemed if anyone is interested. We haven't decided on a date for that one, yet. Possibly the end of August, 2005 or June, 2006??

Hi!

Thank you for those sending ideas for our exchange. A few weeks ago our exchange was granted & we're happy to be able to stay at "home" at OKW. This is our 5th exchange to DVC at OKW over the past 6 years, so although rare, it does happen. I think that the July 4th week in Williamsburg will reap a good exchange in the future (and make up for the fact that we lost the first couple years, because I had no idea what I was doing! LOL)
