DVC Tracker-Caskbill.com owners /users

Great! This news makes my day! I have tried other DVC programs, while they are good, non are as easy as caskbill's. Thanks to all who helped to get the program updated and working.

Awesome news! Caskbill's program was my first download after we bought DVC. What a keen mind to create such a useful program. Thank you Peg, for forging ahead.

This is such great news...thank you so much for passing this information along! This was the first program I tried after purchasing DVC and none compare to the ease of use as this program.

Thank you, just one question ,does it work with MAC? I can't use a .zipfile as far as i know? But i'll try.

The silver version should let you get into the new workings posted. Good Luck

Heynowiru-

When the program was written...it was for PC only...then my husband added extra items so that Vista users could also utilize it. That I know of ...you'll just have to try and see. If no luck on that...I will have to apologize for it not being compatible.

Thanks so much! Just started using this for the first time yesterday as I needed it to include BLT before it was helpful to us. I spent a lot (A LOT :rotfl:) of time entering data last night. Contracts, borrowing/banking and reservations - and I just started with 2010 ignoring all data for 1998-2009 (use years in the family that I didn't have data for).

@heynowirv: We also have a Mac and I just loaded Windows onto it using Bootcamp so I could use this. I'd originally done it so I could use Quicken since there is no good financial planning/budget software for Mac. But, this is a worthy reason as well. I made the smallest possible hard drive partition for Windows knowing I wouldn't ever use much space on that partition.

JWG-

Thanks for the advice for Mac users. That is what is great about DVC owners...they help each other!

Thanks-
CaskPeg

Bootcamp? Is that a free software? I'll google it and see what happens. thanx JWG

I guess I know less about computers than I thought. I have been trying all day to download "tracker" update. One of my problems is I don't have a clue what the directions in "read me" means. Is there a "for dummies" version out there?:confused3 I downloaded 2.0 then tried to download the update. Help!!

Any Intel based Mac running OS X should have this already. It's a Mac based software that lets you partition your hard drive, load Windows on and then install whatever Windows based programs you want on that partition.

You then hold down the "Option" key at boot up to bring up a window allowing you to pick which drive to boot - regular or "bootcamp".

It's slick, especially since there is so much software out there that is PC only.

I've read nothing but great reviews on this program in the past but I don't understand what it does. I really only started seriously on these boards after the passing of Caskbill so it was never something I had an option to use until now. Could someone give me a rundown of what this program does please:confused3

CaskPeg: I have read many wonderful memory posts about you husband and his dedication to these boards. I'm sure he is smiling down on you for continuing his love of helping his fellow Dis'er.
