We have two days "off" during our April trip, and enjoy spending that time at the hotel pool and wandering Downtown Disney. We are curious about taking a DVC tour when we are there. Has anyone done this at Disneyland? How long did it take, what was the experience like, etc? And were there any incentives that might encourage reluctant family members to tag along for the tour? :)

Thanks in advance!

I'm a DVC member, but I never actually did a tour. I just had a phone presentation & then jumped in hook, line & sinker. But, if you don't get an answer here, I would try posting on the DVC boards. I know a lot of the existing members take an occasional tour & may be able to answer your questions.

Last Oct, I dragged my husband to one at the DL hotel because of the promise of a $100 gift card. I don't think it took more than an hour. The guy was very friendly and pressure-free. I was ready to sign on the line then and there! I'm glad I didn't though because I learned so much from going back to the DVC boards and asking questions! For now, it will simply remain a dream... But I did get a super-cool Harveys anniversary wallet/clutch for my time, and it was worth it!

Wife and I did this in 2013. The cast members were very friendly and interested in learning about us. We live on the east coast, so it was tough to hear about the great features Aulani had. We chose not to purchase at that time (and it was the right decision)! Our gift for the time was a gift card and fast passes.

We ended up purchasing Grand Californian through resale and look forward visiting our "second home" all the time.

If you find out about anything else.....
Please post it.
