how long is the tour? I'm interested in looking at the villas, but don't want to have bored or whinny children if long. Am i able to tour BLT? My hubby favorite. My cousin just bought in to GFV and they gave him fast passes, is that normal?

If you want to look specifically at BLT, just walk or monorail there on a MK park afternoon, go to the first floor villas desk, and ask to see a room. If any are available and there isn't a check-in line wait, they will show you one. This is zero pressure (as there isn't a sales agent at all,) and would only take 15-20 minutes once there.

If you want a DVC sales tour, they will van you to SSR to the preview center where currently there are models of AKV, VGF, and AUL. They will take care of your kids while you tour. Takes about 1.5-2h. Freebies aren't consistent. You might get some FP, a giftcard, or nothing.

Further to Msmithmd's recommendation; walk to BLT and talk to the DVC representative in the lobby. They had a model open to view on the ground level. I also visited the Grand Floridian and Animal Kingdom Kidani and toured their models. All had a two bedroom lock-off (one bedroom and studio) available to view.

The BLT model might be gone since DVD has declared BLT as sold out. The DVD ASA if still in the lobby is who you should talk to, a separate desk with the DVC logo.

The resort check in CM's have nothing to do with DVC or sales, they work for Disney resorts, not the DVC. They may allow you to see an unoccupied room or they may not.

They still had the "open house" signs up on the room last month. I was there on 6/17 or 6/18, so it was still available then. As I recall it's on the first floor looking inward, so a "standard" view. I can't imagine a standard view studio being available in June, so I have to believe it's still considered a model.

DVD will always own a minimum of 2% of BLT. Why they would want to keep a room set up as a model is beyond me. But they still retain a model at BWV, 18 years later so perhaps that is the plan at BLT.

yeah, but BWV is next to a public walkway. BLT is supposed to be restricted to guests with keycard/magic band only (i thought).
