DVC "tour" on Disney Cruise - What incentives?

I think I read somewhere that the incentives are usually different if you buy DVC while you're on a DCL cruise. I am considering buying DVC but also thinking about taking a short 3 night cruise this summer, so I'm wondering what incentives have been offered to people to sign the contract during the cruise. Anyone have experience with this?

You don't have to sign the contract during the actual cruise. You have a couple of days after the cruise ends to accept the offer and/or contact your guide. I don't remeber all the particulars since I last cruised about 1/1/2 years ago but there were extra developer points ( I think double) and another incentive being offered at that time. I don't remember if it was a cruise or $ off per point. It would have been a great deal at the time but I've been waiting for GCV so I passed on the deal. Maybe someone else will chime in about more recent incentives.

Do you happen to know if the incentives offered on the cruise were "different" or "better" than the ones currently being offered to the general public? I am just wondering if it would be a good idea to wait until I'm on the cruise to buy DVC, if there is a likelihood that the incentives will be better.

They usually offer some kind of on-board credit.

If you are seriously thinking of cruising this summer and will cruise - I would wait til I was on the cruise and listen to what they have to offer. You can check on the boards to see what they are offering (if not on the cruise) and you can decided then or before the deadline given to sign.
