i'm planning to take the dvc tour on this trip, as we are interested in purchasing some time in the near future.

iremember reading that there were sometimes incentives, meals or such, for taking the tour. any experiences with this; just thinking about meal budgets!

I think you get lunch vouchers.

We each got a Quick & Casual Lunch Voucher

We got $100 in Disney dollars.

It was definitely worth the almost 2 hours :).

We got lunch at ESPN. DVC is definitely worth looking into (besides the free lunch) if your routinely take a WDW vacation. We bought in and no regrets so far!

I know someone who works for DVC at the Boardwalk site that does the tours. She told us that the incentives vary. I think quick and casual lunch vouchers are given to folks staying at a Disney resort or sometimes to people who schedule later in the day (there is a big rush of folks who want to tour in the am and DVC would like to even out the tours throughout the day). All others get cards which are basically super fast passes-- you put this card into the fast pass machine and it spits out a fastpass for you to ride immediately. Each of these cards is good for 2 "instant" fast pass rides.

Our conversation about this took place about 1 month ago. She didn't mention any of the other incentives that folks have brought up, but I think they change over time.

We bought 5 years ago and the only perk we got was cotton candy.....but we made sure we took lots...:teeth: :teeth:

We didn't get any incentive/gift, but the tour was great and at the main Boardwalk DVC site there is usually cookies, coffee, tea. The tour is great .........................but I must admit it would be nice to get a special fast pass or other little gift.

There was a brief time period when there were some posts about receiving $100 in Disney dollars ---- incredibly rare to get this big an incentive from DVC. I haven't seen any posts about that for months, but some people posted recently that they got a lunch-type meal at B&C or ESPN for their family. Depends on your guide, I guess. We were given fast passes for 2 attractions. So I wouldn't count on being offered a meal.

I was Just there on Tuesday and took the tour with a friend- we walked out with nothing! But it was really cool seeing all the rooms available with the exception of the VWL & OKW rooms. Saratoga Springs is going to be beautiful!

I just received a card in the mail from DVC. It says...."Now is a great time to join our magical community, because for a limited time you'll receive a complimentary Disney Vacation when you purchase a real estate interest in Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort...."

It's not an incentive for looking , but it certainly is for buying .

We took the tour in May and were offered the choice between the super fast pass or the lunch vouchers. We chose the vouchers. Cookies, candy, drinks, and cotton candy were offered during the tour as well.

DH and I didn't receive anything...not even cookies with the coffee. We toured the BW properties and spent about 2 hours with Carol, our representative.
