Hi,

We are not doing the DDP and wondered if our DVC Membership gives us any type of discount on dining?? This is our first time as DVC members so just trying to figure out what, if anything, DVC Membership offers in this regards.

Another option is to purchase the TIW, which is a 20% discount on food and beverages. Trying to determine if the purchase price and what I'd save is worth it. But before purchasing, obviously want to make sure DVC doesn't offer anything.

Thanks!!

In order to buy TIW you either need to be a FL resident or have an AP.

There are DVC and/or AP discounts on some restaurants but they are much fewer in number and typically do not include alcohol. The AP/DVC discounts tend to be 10% although some are higher. You should check the DVC members page for a list of restaurants and the discount.

yep - you can't qualify for TIW by being a DVC member. You must be either an annual passholder or a Florida resident. (Could be the OP actually is an annual passholder - that isn't clear). The DVC discount on annual passes does make it easier to be an annual passholder though.

Its a slippery slope. First DVC. Then you wind-up making more trips every year and it just makes sense to get and AP. And once you have one of those you may as well get TIW.
