I have been an RCI member for around 4 yrs. Now that DVC units trade thru RCI, I have seen a lot of availability through their 'Extra Vacations' but none thru 'Last Calls'. (45 days or less advance notice.)

A 2BR is going for around $3500 for the week.:scared1: I can't believe that with this economy, people are really paying this much for a week at a Disney resort, with no meals, tickets, etc.
We pay around that for a 7 nt. Disney cruise that includes unlimited food, snacks, room service, entertainment and travel to Caribbean islands.

I just can't see how one could feel like they're getting good value for their money. For that much $$ Mickey better be tucking me in and giving a good night kiss.

Am I missing something?:confused3

I couldn't believe it either...some resorts were over $5,000!!!! That is just crazy. I don't believe anyone would book them, so maybe they will eventually go to "Last Call"

The Extra Vacations DVC inventory is Disney-owned, and separate from the exchange inventory. Generally, the EV inventory is the same stuff that you could book directly at www.disneyworld.com. At RCI, it's generally offered at some discount from rack rate---sometimes a little better than you'd get from Disney directly, and sometimes not.

You will never see it in Last Call. Disney does not fire-sale units they own.
