DVC through disney or resale???

Not sure what to do. Is resale a safe option for people in the UK? Always worried that there could be scammers.

if you use a reputable company then there should be no problems,I used TTS & they couldn't have been more helpful & it was really easy.Your main decision is where you want to buy & how many points your holiday needs will be.For BLT I would probably stick with Disney just because of the incentives at the minute but for the others I would seriously consider a resale. TTS had some AKV points at $70 which is an absolute bargain & we paid $68/point for our SSR resale.

Hi we just bought resale from Timeshare Store and closed with Nancy at Magic Vacation Title. With agreement from Nancy we used a personal cheque drawn on a USD account at Citibank (all free and excellent exchange rates - no commission) that we can send money by electronic transfer to from our UK bank.

Overall great experience with all companies recommended. Everyone very professional and laid back. I think if you stick with the bigger companies you'll be fine.

We bought two resale contracts from the Timeshare Store and it was a very straightforward, safe process.

We bought through the timeshare store near the end of last year and I cannot recommend tham enough. If only more companies in the UK were as good as them! They answered any questions I had - sometimes silly ones - extremely promptly. You have one point of contact and if they are going to be out of the office they tell you in advance and tell you who you should contact during their absense - even if it is only going to be a couple of days.
