Dvc switch

question for those with experience. Is it possible/difficult to do a dvc resort switch in the middle of a trip. Renting points and would like to try out wl and bc. All thoughts are welcomed

No problem but you may have to find two owners to rent from, we're doing a split stay in December VWL and AKL. Last June we got carried away...4 nights at BCV 8 nights at OKW and 2 nights at VGF.

We pretty much always do split stays. This summer, for a 10 night stay, we stayed at 4 different resorts (by choice - not due to limited availability when we booked). Just have bell services transfer the luggage to your new resort. It generally arrives in the 2-5pm range so you make sure you have what you need for the day before you turn it in.

Im curious did you require a new bracelet for each resort or just keep one for the entire trip?

We did three resorts this summer and got a total of 29 MB..too fun...the first set worked always along with the second, and the second and first worked along with the third. Most the time we kept the same colors, only two people switched colors at each resort. We put names and resort acronyms on each of the bands.

You can keep one MB per person for the whole trip. I still us a MB I got 1 year ago. Just make sure it is on your account with My Disney Experience

A split stay for longer vacations isn't too bad but for short stays IMO they are more trouble than they are worth.

You need to check out from your first room at 11 AM and might not get your room at the second resort until after 4 PM. You need to unpack, pack and unpack, pack, transfer your luggage and any food or drinks and check in and out twice.

Sorry for the delay in my response. As mentioned above, they will send you a new magic band for each stay but as long as they are all registered in MDE, you can use any of them for the entire trip.
