DVC studio for 5

I did a Boardwalk studio with 3 a couple years ago, and it was TIGHT! That being said, we stopped doing one room when my kids were about 7 and 9. We had little to no storage; lived out of our suitcases (and I like to unpack). If you considered the Swan or Dolphin, they have an offer for a family package. It is one room connecting to another, and the second room for kids is half price. You don’t get magical express, but other perks like 60 day FP+ are there.

We did the same five in one tower room at the contemporary a while back, and we were fine space wise with that. Just not looking to pay contemporary rates this time! Hoping the poly studio will be comparable.

5 in a tower room in the CR is totally doable - comfortable even. I would have no problem with that. BUT put the same 5 in a studio? I wouldn't even consider it. the sleeping surfaces and space and storage is completely different. I find studios cramped for just DH and me. Add a small child or two and space is SUPER cramped. Another adult, and you wouldn't be able to breathe, IMO. How about a cabin in FW or a suite in ASMu? Or AoA?

Just MHO, but I wouldn't stay in any studio with three adults and 2 kids. Some of the deluxe rooms would work, like GF, Poly and CR. But not a DVC studio.
