DVC sneak preview for Soarin'?

Hi All,

I know that sometimes WDW offers sneak previews during a soft opening of a new attraction to DVC members. We'll be at WDW in April, and were wondering if anyone has heard that they will be offering a preview to the Epcot attraction Soarin' for DVC members? I've heard that AP passholders are being offered a preview...what about us?

I don't know the answer, either, I wish I did. But I absolutely loved this ride in DL! And I am not a big ''thrills'' kind of person at all, but I just loved it, and I can't wait until it opens in WDW.

I, personally, have not heard a specific date, yet. I have heard Spring 2005, and that's about it.

I thought the official opening date was going to be May 5th for the 50th celebration. I am really hoping that there will be a DVC preview or that the AP preview will be during my trip at the end of April!

In the past, when they do DVC previews, is it for a week at a time or a day or what?

The WDW website now says opening May 2005. We'll be there May 22nd...can't wait to ride it!

Let me add my 2 cents here by saying that EVERYONE has to expereince this attraction. Soarin' has become one of my top five Disney rides! It's the star attraction out at DL Resort and has been since it opened. Don't miss it!

I am not a thrill seeker/roller coaster type of gal. Will this ride put me over the edge?????

It depends on your tolerance level. I am quite the chicken, and I love this ride, and I love Star Tours. I can't stomach any kind of coasters .
I don't even like Big Thunder!
But I love Soarin'!

I agree Soarin' is a great ride! So glad it is coming to Epcot! It's on the top of our list for June!

Woohoo! This was about the only thing I really enjoyed at California Adventure. For those of you who don't know it is a simulated hang glider ride complete with fun "smells". I am afraid of hights so it was a little scary at first, but once you get into it it is awesome!

I didn't know this was coming to the world..one more reason to go this year.

I do not like any thrill rides but I loved Soarin' over California. We were in Disney in California last October and I fell in love with the ride. I was a little leary the first time as they did safety precautions but it was not scary. I am surprised that they are not doing a Soarin' over Florida.

DW and I have riden the ride only once but we loved it. We're at WDW 4/30 leaving 5/4 so I sure hope that there's some type of soft opening/sneek preview or I'll really be bummed out.

I read, I think on the rumer board, that when Epcot has it's anniv. celebration they will change the film from California to images from all the countries in World Showcase. That would be cool.

Just chiming in here...Soarin' is fantastic. This and the Indiana Jones ride were the two best reasons to visit DL / CA. Both were well worth the 2+ hours I waited to get on. Now if only Indiana Jones would move east as well!

We were at Epcot in July 2003 and were able "preview" Space - I was very surpised since the grand opening was not until Oct.
