DVC Shows Non-Home as Home Resort

There's something weird on my DVC Member booking page. I have two contracts, one resale and one direct, both for BLT, both purchased within the last year. What's weird is that when I look at "Home Resorts" for my 11-month window it shows both BLT and Riviera, and everything else is "Other Resorts" for the 7-month window. Obviously this is not correct; I do not own Riviera. Both my contracts are definitely BLT and were not entered wrong or anything; it's just picking up Riviera as a second home resort for some reason on the booking page.

Can somebody else with this unique situation (a direct non-Riviera purchase within the past year) see if they have the same quirk in their member page as well? I assume this is either transient, and will eventually get cleaned up, or it's false and I couldn't reserve Riviera 11 months out despite what it shows, but I was wondering if anyone else has seen this?

When I've seen people ask this sort of thing before, the answer has been they have gotten one time use points or transferred points. Could that be the case?

DId you recently purchase one time use points? If so, that's the reason. It's been reported that they have been using the home resort of the OTU points when they add those to your account.

These are just regular contracts, no one-time-use or anything special like that. I see my points in the out years and they're correct. I am tempted to try to book Riviera 11 months out to see what happens, but I have a trip in November booked and I worry about it getting purged from the system (it's irrational, I know). So for now I'm going to leave it alone and check later this year!

I would try to make a booking at RIV at some other time that will not impact your Nov booking just to see what happens. You do not have to commit, just see if you can make the booking.

So you did not recently purchase 1-24 one time use points from DVC to complete a reservation you were making? How about have you had points given an extension do to Covid closures and travel restrictions? I was given Riviera points when they extended points from my UY last year. I know international were or maybe still are getting extensions. Once the new UY for them ended the contract disappeared again.

Hmm. That's a really good question. I did purchase a few points to complete an Aulani reservation earlier this year (I bought them in January), which I didn't think of until you asked it in that way. After that purchase I didn't show Riviera as a home resort. Then after that trip, I purchased a direct BLT contract, and that's when Riviera showed up as a home resort. But that could be what's caused it, especially if it's a known thing that has happened.

I purchased some one time use points last year and since then, Aulani is listed as one of my home resorts even though I do not own there
