DVC Sales Perks/Comps?

Greetings!

I'm going down for a DVC research trip in a couple weeks (scout the various DVC resorts, and maybe put myself through a Disney direct sales pitch.

Any perks/comps the sales team offers for meeting with them? Or tips you'd suggest?

We got $100 gift card and 4 fastpass 2 years ago. But I haven't heard of much more than that lately. Have fun! Exciting!

I think they have cut it to $50 gift card and 3 FP that exclude all pandora rides, PP, FEA, and 7dmt. That's about all they have offered as of late.

Lol. Well, we will mostly be buying resale and maybe some direct points. Also, DH isn't coming and he'd be none to pleased if I made that decision solo.

On our first pitch session we got 3 fastpasses each plus a $50 gift card. That was last summer and most of the reps we spoke to at the parks this summer were offering the same.

We just concluded a vacation at the Poly and did a second session to actually purchase. This time they offered us 3 fast passes each but bumped the gift card to $100 to attend the session.

Ended up purchasing 75 points to go along with our AKV resale. Will likely top those points up in the winter when funds allow.

Just saying, we have posts here on the DIS where people insist that they are just going to look and they know better than to buy direct. Next post is, "I'm an owner, they were so nice, they gave me free points, free fast passes, lemonade, and a gift card"!

I'm not sure if DVC has the restriction, but every other timeshare sales pitch requires both spouses to be present in order to receive the gift.

Stayed at poly this week, was offered 3 FP+ and $100 gc. Just me, spouse stayed with kids, asked about child care during "tour" but they didn't have available. Wasn't offered the special lemonade so ended up without a contract

I'm a stay at home foster mama now, but for years I was in tech sales - so we shall see how well they can sell the sales person.

Any input regarding whether I should try to work with a particular rep or does it matter? I had one call on the phone but I wouldn't allow that rep to get a sales credit anyway, even for a small purchase. He gave me some factually wrong information trying to dissuade me from the value prop of resale

Generally, no. FP+ is only given for on-site tours. They're compensation for non-park time.

so ...no pre-plan on the tour then. Hubby & I will be at Pop for 2 days prior to the kiddos arriving...so how would ya'll suggest I go about getting a tour with the fp & gift card?
