We are a family of 5 (2 adults, 2 kids ages 7 and 9, and a 9 month old).

What would be the best DVC studio for us since we will have a pack n play in the room? I heard Polynesian is the largest.

Would it be possible to put a pack n play in the "shower" bathroom since there are 2 bathrooms?

Just trying to think of ways to help maximize the space.

Or is there another DVC studio that would be better accommodation wise than the Polynesian?

Thanks for the tips!

I've put one in the Poly extra shower, and also in the closet in the VGF 1BR.

There's room for it in pretty much any studio, but you might have to put the stroller on the balcony. The separate "room" is going to be a Poly thing, it's an artifact of the building they converted.

I haven't stayed in a BLT studio, but have heard from others that you can stick a pack n play in the galley kitchen.

If you have the points (and depending on how light of a sleeper the 9 month old is), I'd opt for a 1BR with a baby for everyone's sanity. I can't imagine the older kids being okay with lights out when the baby goes to bed and with a full house you'd want to keep that second bathroom free to use.

Are the older kids going to share a bed?

In a studio such as BCV, you can pull out the sofa bed (or Murphy bed if it's a remodelled room). If the kids aren't going to share it, you also can pull out the bed under the TV. But there's not much room to walk around if both of those are open. Are you going to have a stroller? That will take up even more floor space.

I've heard that the BLT studios are small, but I haven't stayed in one.

At the Polynesian, we put the pack-n-play in the shower “room.” It was perfect because the door could shut (left cracked) so there was some separation.

At Boulder Ridge, we put it in the sink area but it wasn’t ideal.

Those are the places where we have experience. The Polynesian is by far the best set up for this as a studio but others are doable. We’re trying Jambo House this week so hopefully we’ll be able to make it work.

They are girls and pretty tiny so they usually share a bed easily when we travel at this time. Ugh I didnt even think about the stroller situation.

would love to hear if Jambo worked out for you. Would it be possible to see pictures after you stay there?

She doesn't have all the locations you asked about but PixieDustedMom on Youtube has a few videos about how she sets up her room with 2 toddlers so it may give you some ideas.

ETA - Link to her Grand Floridian Setup she also has a Kidani setup but it is 1 King so doesn't really match your needs.

I think Poly is really your best option. Pack n Play in the shower room and stroller in the space created by the lock off door in the front hall. The sink area at Jambo would probably work, I've slept there on a cot with my feet under the counter and there was still plenty of space to get in and out of the toilet/shower room. While you *could* put the pack n play in the kitchenette at BLT, you will be tripping over each other every place else in that studio (it's TIGHT).

You're only comfortable studio option would be Poly. Every other studio will be very tight with a pack and play. Your other option would be to upgrade to a 1 bedroom. If points are an issue, look at Saratoga Springs or Old Key West so the 1 bedroom point hit isn't too bad.

Writing from Jambo House— we ended up with a crib instead of a pack-n-play which we didn’t even know was an option. We like this better.

We’re fine on space and not feeling like we’re tripping over stuff. The crib folds down for the day and we’re going to put it in the closet.

Poly is still most ideal set up but this works!

At GF recently, they offered both. The old school metal cribs seem to be from Covid, but they have Pack N Plays around.

We’ve had the metal cribs since we started requesting them in 2017. We prefer them to the Pack n Play since they’re sturdier and easier to move around on wheels.

If you are doing 2 MK days, BLT Studio all the way.

Having a baby with that quick walk out of MK is baller.

Also Riviera lays out nice for that like Poly. You can close the 2 sliding doors in the bathtub shower room and then use the toilet and shower in the other side. Pack and play can fit in there.

The Bay Lake Towers studios are really small. I would go with the other suggestions.

We’ve had a baby (3 months to 23 months) in these WDW studios:
- SSR
- Port Orleans FQ
- Pop Century
- BLT
- VGF
- BWV
- BCV
- AKL
- RIV
- CCV

My kids were both good sleepers, so the rooms all worked well. I liked Poly, RIV, and VGF the best due to the size of the room. But, most all the rooms had a certain nook to put the pack n play.

BLT (and non-deluxe rooms) were the hardest, due to the size of the room.

I’ve seen no point to a 1 bedroom, we all crash at the same time and I wanted to hear my baby sleep. We did get an audio baby monitor so we could sit on the balcony at night and listen to our kids.

As I’ve stayed in almost all the resorts with a pack n play or a crib, I don’t agree with this at all.

The only studios we had to collapse our tandem double stroller to make room for the pack n play was our value studio at AKL and BLT.

All the other rooms were large enough to have a nook to put the pack n play and even keep the huge stroller open.
