DW and I spent 3 yrs deliberating over DVC b4 finally taking the plunge 12 months ago, and we are about to embark on our 3rd trip since May last year, before I start a new job on 1March
We really are making the most of DVC, and couldn't be happier with our purchase and experience so far
I occasionally read complaints on the Disboards where people are unhappy with MS, customer service, room cleanliness etc, but fortunately our experience has been the polar opposite, so I thought I'd share a few of the things that have made DVC so special and rewarding for us:
- Member Services have been superb without exception. Every time I call they bend over backwards to help meet our requirements.
- We travel from the UK, so usually come for 2 weeks at a time and split our vacation between 2/3 resorts so we can enjoy the uniqueness that each has to offer. I know some people would find moving resorts a chore, but it is just my DW and I so it is no bother.
- Despite booking as late as 3 weeks before our vacation (2 Feb 2012) we have pretty much got what we want every time, with a little flexibility. In 3 weeks we will enjoy 5 days in BWV with a BW view, and a further 5 days as Kidani with a Savannah view.
- Every room we have occupied has been clean and well maintained, and most exceeded our expectations with wonderful views - especially the BLT MK view and BWV BW view.
- Reception staff have been friendly and welcoming. We exchanged email
addresses with 2 CM's (husband and wife) with whom we struck a good rapport. We always try to have a giggle with the CM's and find that they go out of their way for you if you are nice to them.
- In the 3 trips we have made using DVC we will have recouped our DVC purchase costs and much more already, based on discounted rack rates.
- We bought the annual passes, which will have covered all 3 trips. Without DVC we would have paid £235 ppn every time we visited. Bargain!
- We have saved well over $200 in dicounts using our AP and DVC cards.

- We have met some lovely like minded DVC members and passed the time gushing about how happy we are to own a slice of magic at the happiest place on earth.
Few of our friends understand our obsession with Disney, and definitely struggle to understand our devision to buy a DVC, but we don't care. Disney is our happy place and DVC has only reinforced our love for the land of the mouse.
Wishing you all a very happy 2012.
