Does anyone have any experience with trying to book around Halloween time? Unfortunately, since my resale closing is taking so long (see my reply to cons of buying a resale), I will be missing both the 11 month and 7 month windows. My home will be Boardwalk, but we're more than happy to try OKW or WLV...probably the one bedroom.

It's been very hard to get BWV, but I think you will probably be able to get OKW. When you close call MS. Try for BWV. If you can only get OKW take that, then go on the waitlist for BWV. If the waitlist comes through you can jusrt switch over,no problem. We have had success with the waitlist at this time of year. BWV's are kinda nice for halloween, they have some trick or treating and other activites for the kids.
Good Luck, and Welcome Home

We are booked at the BWV for 6 nights in a 2 bedroom for Halloween. We're on the list for 3 more nights.....the BW is sold out Oct-Dec I was told. We will probably spend the other 3 at another place, I'm hoping for VWL but will settle for OKW as a last resort. 6 nights is not enough!

I just booked OKW for Halloween time. We've stayed there a few times at Halloween time and it is so much fun! They do really cute activities for kids in Community Hall, a costume parade around the resort in the daytime, and a party by the main area in the evening. We only stay at OKW at Halloween time because of how great they make it, and I know you'd love it!

There still is availability at this time for OKW at that time because I just checked yesterday for someone else.

If you have any questions, feel free to e me!

We booked for Halloween at OKW in May last year and had a great time. Okw was not full and the weather was good. We brought my niece and her kids for the Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party and they have been talkin about it ever since. The week after is good also, so if you can make that week the parks are even less crowded.

Thanks everyone. It sounds like OKW would be great. I'm hoping that the MNSSHP is scheduled when we go between 10/25 - 29. I heard Disney hasn't released the dates yet. Maybe we'll even stay for Halloween, but the kids probably want to be home. I can't wait to close!

Hi,
I would think that MNSSHP should be available while you are there. I know BWV has actvities the whole week before Halloween, I am not sure about OKW. We made spiders, painted spooky flowerpots ( for the candy)we even built a "haunted" house ( much like a gingerbread house) and they had a contest . It was fun. MNSSHP is fantastic. I don't know the ages of your children, but we go to Disney for Halloween every other year. The kids have a great time at MNSSHP, and they come back with BAGS FULL of candy! :)
