We cancelled our November stay, deciding not to activate our APs until things get more back to normal, and booked a stay at HHI instead. We still have a February stay booked at AKV/SSR. Originally, we were just planning on doing a resort stay, but we have started thinking we may want to have a park day in case we decide to delay activating our APs for a while. I'm thinking of maybe doing a 1-day PH (not wanting to spend a lot of $), but is it even possible to do all 4 parks in one day? This is definitely not how we like to tour the parks, but I would like to see all the parks since it might be awhile before we visit again. Would adding Genie+ and the two IAS rides assist in saving some time? By the way, this would be the Friday before President's Day. Will it be too crowded to try this? Any advice would be appreciated!

Remember right now you can not park hop until 2pm so factor that in. Friday before President day could be busy. There is also a big twirl mania competition then. The schools in the New England states get winter break and the flock to Disney

Possible...yes. Difficult for the time you are going...most likely. It all depends on the hours and what you are going to do.

As mentioned, you can not hop until 2 pm and in February, the parks closing could be as early as 7 pm. That could certainly limit getting those 3 extra parks hit.

You need to consider the Genie+ factor, which appears to be more a negative for park hopping not a positive. You can no longer do fastpasses in advance. Genie+ (at $15 a day), for all the rides it applies to, will allow you reserve a time for only one ride at time. Disney has not yet clarified when you can make a second Genie+ reservation -- with fastpass that existed before 2013, you could get a second reservation either after you completed the ride or two hours after getting the fastpass, whichever occurred first. Not clear if that will be the same with Genie+, but either way that could result in having two hours or more waiting to make a second Genie+ reservation for which you could get a time hours after that.

Then you have the problem of the premier rides that will be excluded from Genie+ and for which you have to pay a separate fee (amount not yet specified), and you are entitled to get two a day. You could attempt a reservation in the morning and potentially not get a time until afternoon. Moreover, by the way it reads now, if you use your two premier ride reservations in one park, you will have only the stand-by line for such rides in another park the same day.

Things are still unclear but these new ride rules appear to cast doubt on considering even doing park hopping.

I'd wait and see how Genie+ goes. It will have a lot less people than Fastpass, and maybe you really will be able to walk on the Tier 2 attractions, even on a fairly busy day.

I don't see how four parks is physically possible with current park hopper rules, but who knows what the rules will be by February.

I think you all have talked me into doing two days. It would lend itself to our touring style anyway. We really only want to do 2-3 rides per park, but doing one park in the morning and one in the evening and repeating the next day will be more relaxing for sure. This is one reason we are taking some time away from Disney though. It's just too restrictive now!
