If we were driving 2 cars to WDW are we allowed to self park both cars for free at the DVC resort since both drivers (my husband and myself) are DVC members?

Thanks!

Yes! Anyone on the reservation can have a parking pass :)

Edited to add: you don't need to be a DVC member. I stay with friends frequently and I'm not a member, but I always get a parking pass.

No.

There is no parking benefit or right just for being a DVC member. Only for resort guests with reservations.

But if you were both on the resort reservation, then yes.

Sorry if it was not clear but we would certainly have a room reservation at the DVC Resort where we need to park 2 cars.

No problem. just making sure.

It's just that some people do assume things.

If staying in one of the Treehouse Villas @ SSR, there is (officially) only one parking space alloted per Villa. Any additional vehicles are supposed to be parked at the main resort.

We had a recent trip at 3 resorts...AKV did not give us a paper parking pass but BWV and SSR did.

Here's a question ......what if my family and my brothers family ( 9 total) bring an RV and stay at Caribbean Beach Resort during the last week of December (12/27-1/2), can we park at the resort without any issues? Any suggestions if there was to be an issue? Thanks for your input.

I am not sure what you are asking. Are you staying at DVC resort and want to park at CBR?

No, I'm sorry for the confusion, we made plans prior to becoming DVC members. We are staying at CBR the last week of December and are traveling from NY, air fare WAY TOO much for us all. So the question is, does anyone think there will be an issue parking the RV at Caribbean Beach Resort while we stay there? We know it's a busy time of year and parking is most likely at a premium.

I think you'd find more people familiar with parking at CBR if you check in the Transportion or Resorts forum.

No issues, all the resorts have areas for parking larger vehicles, even BLT. As long as your staying at any Disney resort. My parents had no issues with their 5th wheel last year when I booked them 2 nights. Enjoy and have a safe drive.

Thank you very much!

Not quite, they all have a plan but not necessarily parking. For DVC there's a technical limit, I'm thinking it's 24 ft. I think this applies to all resorts. I know OKW is fairly aggressive in limiting them as is BWV. AKV isn't so much but it's one of the outside further lots.

I know I have seen RV's parked at BLT....all the way by the tennis courts. Always wondered what they were doing there. I guess if that was their mode of transportation to the resort they need to park somewhere. I wonder if they check to make sure nobody is staying in them overnight......

I am not sure if thats a hard and fast rule. The folks 5th wheel is 37ft. Yes it was at AKV so that might be why it was ok.

OK...so I got off my duff and called CBR. No restrictions on length of vehicle and no issues with parking however, RVs park in the "overflow" lot.

That's in the POS, as in all things Disney, the answer changes depending on who/when you ask.
