DVC & resort reservation at same time

It seems like I read quite some time ago that some DVC owners have stayed in their villa, but then free dining was offered, thus the DVC owner made a reservation for a regular room to receive the free dining. I am NOT trying to break any rules by any means. The reason I am asking is that we are staying AKL studio in January, 2 adults, 2 children. It looks like our adult son will be joining us on this trip, so we are looking for another room for him. Which caused me to think that if free dining is offered, could we put 3 of us on his reservation so that we may get the free dining also? We are renting so unable to upgrade to a larger villa.

Yes, I am not sure how this would work. Our son would be staying at that resort and we would still need to purchase tickets as required and length of stay, which we are staying 8 nights.

You would also have to pay the extra adult charge if there are more than 2 adults in the room. $10 per night I think at a value per person.

Depends on the resort...we paid $25 extra adult fee at the GF.
