Has anyone asked their guides or heard anything more on the rumor that DVD will be building a DVC ski resort in Utah? Is this just another no credence rumor?

I think I would call this just a rumor unless something more is forthcoming. There was a DVC resort rumored for Colorado years ago. I think a lot will depend upon how well Aulani sells, DVC's prior sales at non-Disney park destinations was disappointing, and basically stopped all off-site construction for many years.
I would love to see a ski resort and a buffalo junction Dvc and a national harbor Dvc. But, I am a little worried that more offside owners could cause chaos with booking at wdw at 7 month window!
I'm with Chuck... heard a Colorado rumor years ago, but don't ever remember a Utah one. I personally would think the chances would be very doubtful. The problem is that for people who have not been to Park City (been there and LOVED it), it would have very little draw except for ski season. Unlike Aulani, which can book year round with no effort or challenge.
Just think it would be a hard sell to do Disney in a ski resort town.
They may be wanting to reserve the domain, whether anythong actually comes of it or not. If you go to the website, it contains legal paperwork for authorizing AKV for sale in Utah. So it may also be simply a Utah state requirement.
Interesting option. Utah is not a prototypical top 5 retail location, but for a company wanting to expand its Western US presence it seems to be a decent family choice in a state that's not too depressed..
That would be at Beaver Creek (not far from Vail). Eventually, Hyatt built a timeshare at the 'DVC location'. Hyatt Mountain Lodge. Stayed there twice. A really nice resort.
