This is a tough one for me, as to attention to detail has to be VWL.
While I can appreciate the attention to detail at AKV, it does not appeal to me and the grounds are not spacious enough to be true to a real Africian safari lodge.
Which theme appeals to be asthetically for a long trip: SSR I just find the architecture of the buildings, the landscaping, the openess, the fountains so peaceful. I have to have wide open spaces to be relaxed, places I can escape the crowds and breathe.
We're overlooking another part of SSR - and that is the Tree House Villas. They are simply exquisite and the details are amazing in the units themselves.
Fully agree that SSR (the main part) is also a place I find relaxing and very easy on the eyes.
