DVC Resort Academy Awards – Category: Best Automobile Parking

Vote for the DVC resort(s) which, in your personal opinion, should win in the category of “Best Automobile Parking”.

I have excluded the two offsite DVC resorts from consideration in this poll. I would suggest voting for your top one to three choices in this category, and then optionally adding a reply outlining your vote and the reason(s) behind your vote.

I voted AKV for having underground, out-of-the-sun parking.

I voted BCV for having parking that is close and convenient.

Hands down gotta give it up to SSR and OKW in this category.

My top 3 choices would be:

1) OKW
2) SSR
3) BCV

OKW since you park right outside your unit.

SSR because you park right outside your building.

BCV has the best self-park of all the hotel-style resorts.

I guess AKV might be next if staying at Kidani Village and you're lucky enough to park under your unit (and your car is out of the sun!).

OKW and SSR parking in front of your villa is a possibility. That's very convenient.

I voted for BLT--just an elevator ride away (and you can keep an eye on your car from your MK view )

VGC--supposed to have underground parking right below the rooms (well, that is what my guide said anyway ).

I also voted for OKW and BCV.

I can't stand schlepping my luggage/groceries. I'd been at BCT 3 whole days before I figured out the villa I was right by the parking lot!

Oh, this one was a hard one to vote on. I really like using the vallet -- handing my keys to someone and walking right into the resort. It's also nice to be able to have someone run the a/c for you. But, on the other hand, the vallet is inconvenient if you consistently leave things behind in the car. (Did it twice this last trip.)

In the end, I wound up voting for SSR and OKW. Occassionally you have to circle the lot to find a good spot, but in most cases, you pull right up and are there at the room.

IMHO... any resort that has valet is the best parking.... why because it is FREEE!!!!

OKW. We don't drive, but we had friends visiting with a car last year and being able to park right in front of the unit made a huge difference to them.

SSR a close second.
BCV Best of the hotel type resorts.

I voted AKV (Kidani) because it is covered parking. I was there in June, it was great!

Lest we forget that SSR includes Treehouse villas which (as long as you don't bring a fleet of vehicles) gives you a private dedicated space for your unit!

Couple that with SSR's ample lots (and accompanying views of said lots ) and it's gotta be close to tops in this category.
