DVC Reservations down 2/23- my 7 mo window!

I just saw on Facebook that DVC reservations will be down on Thursday, Feb 23 from 9 am est - 3 pm and the online system will be down in the afternoon. This day is my 7 mo. window to book at another resort. I was really hoping to change from our home resort (AKV) to the Beach Club Villas.

Should I risk it on Thursday and cancel our AKV online so that I can try for BCV? I'm afraid to wait until the phone line is open at 3 pm. I hate that you can not check online ahead of time AND can not check your resort/dates online unless you have the points available to book it.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Does anyone own at BCV who would be willing to check Thursday morning for me before I cancel one reservation for another?

You can check availability today arriving September 21, that may include some of your dates.

No one else can book online or by phone on Thursday morning, so 3pm will be the same as 9am.

The wording is a little confusing.

Thanks... I was thinking that the online and phone reservation line where closed at staggers times.

Actually, it's not the same because the online reservation system will be available. Since I already have a res. for AKL, I do not have enough points to even check to see if BCV is available. (The system will only let you check if you have the points available.) So to even check I would need to cancel my current reservation at AKL to see if BCV is available. All the while anyone making a new reservation can make it all day on-line (online does not close until the afternoon, 3pm I think) while I wait for the phone lines to open. Does that make sense?

I think the wording is confusing, I would be surprised if online is open in the morning.

Tomorrow you can check BCV arriving 9/22, so at least you would know if some of your dates are already soldout.
