DVC Reservation question

I am new to DVC. I have 2 contracts. 1 125 point direct contract at AK and 1 225 point resale contract. I spent a week at Riviera last year with direct points from 2021. For my 2022 trip in Fall I’d like to do a split stay there. If there is availability I’d like to spend 4 nights at the end of my trip in a 1 BR standard view. Due to the fact I borrowed from 2022 of my direct contract for Aug 21 trip I now only have 75 points direct for 2022. A 4 night stay would be 147 points. I could use my 75 points from 2022 and borrow 63 points from 2023 with the 50% restriction rules. If the 50% restriction still applies 7 months out that would leave me 9 points shy of the 147 points I would need to stay there. Can I then purchase 9 one time points at 7 months out in order to complete reservation?

As long as the room is still there, then yes, they will allow you to purchase and apply toward the room

Sorry, but I'm a little confused, because you keep referencing the one contract as 'direct'. Direct and resale points are the same for something like this - using or borrowing. What happened to the 225 point contract? Are they perhaps not the same use-year? Maybe I'm over-thinking it, but not clear where those points stand. At 7 months, you'd have access to all your points, unless there is something with a different use-year.

I’m sorry I thought I understood booking and modifying reservations but it’s clear I don’t. I have 2 contracts. I can only stay at Riviera with my direct contract. I booked my home resort which is Animal Kingdom on resale points at 11 months out. But at 7 months want to try to secure 6 nights at Bay Lake and 4 nights at Riviera. I cannot use resale points to book at Riviera. I only have 75 direct points for 2022. So I was planning on borrowing from 2023 and using one time points at 7 months out to complete the Riviera reservation. I was wondering if I could do that.

Please don't apologize! Now that I see the explanation about direct points for Riviera, I understand completely. I forgot about the resale restrictions at Riviera. I hope the one-time-use points work out well for you when you go to reserve at 7 months!
