Please share the name of your agent if you used DVC RESALE MARKET and would recommend your agent. I spoke with one yesterday that I have no desire to work with and will wait on a contract to come on the market that suits our needs at another agency if I need to.

The title company does the hard work. It's not like your agent matters that much in the big picture.

My agent at Fidelity was trash. I had to constantly call and follow up. But I would work with them again, because it was the deal I wanted.
It was terrible. She told me I couldn’t offer what I wanted to even though I’ve watched the RofR thread and know it’s been accepted. She told me tons of wrong numbers (literally told me I needed several more thousand dollars for cash at closing) Monera confirmed all the numbers i had estimated. Frankly I’m not sure if she was just having a bad day and we had some bad miscommunication but I did not like her vibes at all.

currently using Bonnie at Fidelity and she has been great so far. Using mason for title company which has been good as well.

Kind of piggybacking onto the original question, but is there a better agency as far as prices go? Looking at AKL contracts and Fidelity has some 160+ pts priced below $110 per point (not stripped) while other agencies have similar contracts priced at $120+ per point. Why such huge variances in listing price?

Definitely Andy Berry! I have now worked with him on an AKL contract in May and a GCV contract in September and he was fantastic.

I had been bidding on GCV contracts and one the seller was not willing to really lower the price. I told Andy their counter offer was too high and he agreed. He said that he would help me find a better contract and he did! Also, he is so quick to respond and keeps in contact throughout the ROFR process. My GCV contract was in ROFR for a while and he emailed me three weeks in to say we are still working through it and we have you. I can't recommend him enough!!!!

I bought my first contract over the summer and didn’t really like my agent much. I didn’t really have much interaction other than the first day when he called and talked down to me about bidding too low(this is when DVC was not taking back any contracts in June)

Im hoping if I find another contract on their site I am free to use another agent? I won’t get automagically assigned to my previous agent?

I worked with Karen Guyder at DVC RESALE MARKET on a BLT contract that I just closed (points hit my account yesterday). She was very good. Often times these things are quite easy to close. However, I have bought 2 contracts where something unusual came up in the process, and that is when the agent matters. She had to do a little extra to get this done.

Another really good agent I worked with (a year a ago) was Scot Decker at the DVCSTORE.COM. The seller on this transaction was very difficult, and he really worked to get it done.

Would recommend both very highly!

may i ask how long it took for the points to appear after the closing/recording of the deed?
