DVC renting questions

Hi there... longtime DVC member but a newbie when it comes to doing anything but booking a reservation. I've got 110 points I banked last year. Naturally all the times/places I'd like to make a ressie are unavailable, so I'm looking for other options.

I believe I cannot transfer them, correct? How about renting? When do they have to be used by? (My use year begins in March.)

Any advice, anyone? Thanks.

You are correct, you can not transfer banked points. Rental would be the only option at this time and you would have until February 31st to use the banked points since your UY is March.

I read a posting that said that the owner was responsible for any damage or unpaid balance. Not sure if that is true but it gave me a completely different view of renting my points. I would want an answer on the damage/unpaid balance from Disney before I rented to someone I did not know very well.

Yes you are liable. The renter is renting from you, not from Disney.
