DVC Renter question

I have reserved 2 villas at the BW for Sept 8 - 15. I rented from David's so I am not the member. Can I call someone and request that the 2 villas will be close together?

You would need to contact David so he can have the owner(s) put a 'Travel With' on the reservations so that the assigner knows there are multiple rooms.

No, you should contact David. He will contact the members that made the reservations and they will contact DVC. Member Services will not speak to a non-owner, nor will they speak to an owner, other than the owner that owns the points that made the reservations.
