DVC rental at GF for the 1st time... questions

I am hoping that someone on the DIS can help with some questions that I have. As the title states, we will be staying at the GF for 10 nights on DVC rental points in a standard view. The DVC owner has offered to add any requests to my reservation that I want and I need some help with this.

*I know that we need a traditional bath tub for our 7yo. Do I need to request anything for this? Non handicapped accessible or do all rooms have a tub?
*I also want an upper floor with a decent view. I would prefer to be able to see the fireworks but I'm not even sure that this is possible in a standard view room.....
*I know that there are some rooms with a "bad" view. I think that it is a view of a wall but I can't quite remember. Does anyone know what room numbers I wouldn't want?

Thanks for any advice!

I don't know about the room views. Touring Plans has a room view finder that should help you out.

What size villa did you book? The tub in the one bedroom has high sides and not the traditional tub. Not sure about second bedrooms or studios.

Both times we had a standard view one bedroom. Once with a view of the monorail and the sidewalk to the pool; the other time with a view of the Wedding Chapel. You could be unlucky and get a view of the roof.

There will be a bath tub in the villa. A standard view will in all likelihood not have a view of the fireworks. Generally, the standard views are the least desirable view category. Villas with theme park views are more points.

Not in the case of GFV. As you can see above, both of my standard view one bedroom villas had pretty nice views in my opinion. GFV doesn't have a theme park view. Only water view or standard view.

Thanks, everyone. We have a studio with a standard view and I was worried that we wouldn't have a tub for my son. I really want to avoid the roof view as I'm sure that everyone does.

The only bad view is a second floor studio overlooking the Porte Cochere. Just ask for an upper floor and the views are all good.
You will either get 1] Poly, Shades of Green, Golf Course, and Wedding Pavilion. Or 2] you will get the back side of the pool, and a view of the main GF lobby building. Both views can see the monorail, except for one or two rooms. (And those might have some visibility to the highest fireworks.).

For Fireworks, the best place to watch is either outside Gasparillas quick service, or at the deck behind Narcoosies restaurant. Both locations have the music piped in. The problem with watching the fireworks from the Villas is that one of the hotel buildings is between you and the castle.

All studios have both a waterfall shower and a tub.

The one and two bedrooms have at least one large “bubble” tub. I think it will be in the master bath.
