Hi, I have been checking dvcs regularly and found a 12$ pp deal at Dave’s for oct 22-24. I raced through the process in fear I would miss it. I had already given my information as the main guest and misread the following page as additional adults rather than total number of adults, so just put in my wife and two daughters. Now we only have three of us on the ressie. I decided to wait to hear back from Dave’s to link it, but is there anything to be concerned about if they are not able to update it to 4 guest?

edits: David’s, not Dave’s:)

Your 4th guest will not be able to ride DME. Their MagicBand will not open the door to the room or any other guest areas that are locked and reachable with a MB. They will not get early entry or extra evening access to the parks. IOW, if they are not added to the reservation, they will not be considered to be a Disney resort guest.

Can't think of any reason they shouldn't be able to add the 4th guest. It's a fairly simple process for the owner of the points to do it online. Try not to worry too much about it.

Not sure who is actually on reservation. It is the DVC member who rents the points through Dave that actually puts in the reservation and persons in the room and that person will put in all names provided including any children. Do you mean that only your wife and two daughters are on the reservation, which would mean that your wife is now the lead name.

As long as the member is willing, it is very easy to add another person to the reservation merely by the member's doing a simple modification online, but you need to call Dave's to have that process started. The somewhat more difficult change is to the lead name on the reservation, which requires the member to call DVC and make the change, which might involve some substantial hold time waiting for someone at DVC to answer. Nevertheless, if your wife is the lead name, that can just stay that way and you can just be added as another adult -- that would just mean she would remain listed as the main contact person on the reservation while you are there.

Thanks for the replies all. Hadn’t considered all of it. Most likely it would still work out, but it could be a potential problem. Interestingly it kept me as the lead, and basically the inputs I put in for my wife were just not included, as I did use her information when I put her in as the “1 adult” on that section. Hopefully they don’t have to call, I had to call and get escalated to someone that could fix a ticket issue a couple months ago and i was on hold for like 6 hours….

I used them once as an owner, and changes in spelling and adding guests if a mistake was made was something we agreed to do.

So, I don’t think there should be any issue once you let them know you made the mistake. For the owner, additional guests is easy. It’s the lead guest that requires a call or chat with CM. Since that is correct, it won’t be too much additional work.

I rented my points out via David's once and had a name of a guest wrong and just could modify online. As long as the room allows 4 guests, they can modify to add the 4th. It's not the RR 2 person tower studio is it?

To add a guest, the owner should not have to call DVC. It can be done online by using the "Modify Reservation" option on the DVC member website or using online chat with DVC.

Yep. I just did that with my February reservation. Easy peasy.
