What's a DVC?
I was reading the question section. They are nuts!

Can I afford a Disney Vacation Club Membership?
On average, it costs about the price of just seven family vacations* to join Disney Vacation Club. But for that same one-time purchase price and closing costs, plus annual dues, you and your family enjoy over 45 years of amazing vacations.

How do those vacations actually make up for anything. My income puts me in the average incomed lifestyle. Not sure who here can actually afford the "just seven family vacations" entry fee?
I don't get this, are they being serious?!
We just got a call from Heidi and she informed us that DVC has registered to sell in Alberta.![]()
Well, It depends on what your vacation habits are like. A deluxe hotel goes for 350 to 600 a night depending on the hotel. So thats between 2100 and 3600 for a 6 night trip. So with DVC your hotel is paid for. You still need tickets and such.
DVC is not for everyone, but it can save lots of money over the life of the contract.
It tends to work if you go to disney at least once every 2 years and stay in deluxe resorts.
If your interested in learning more, check out the DVC boards.
Hey thanks Mike for the info. Makes me understand how it works a lot better. Definitely sounds like it would be a good deal if you travel lots. Let's say I were to set something up for DL in California. Would it mean that my stays would be free as long as I can book the trip at a time where they have free space? Once you get the package, does it mean you are covered for a free stay the rest of your life? every time you go down then or do you get discounts. Are you limited to a certain amount of time a year?
I'm heading out to the DVC board to see if I can find more information.
I went online to request the DVD but the only way they will send you one is if you live in Ontario. What happens for us Albertans?
Has anyone here joined?
