My DW and I were in Disney last Feb and didn't take advantage of DVC tour when we should have. Are spending a week at BCV this Feb and have a couple of questions....

Made Reservation though our WDW Travel agent for one bedroom, have number of family going as well...all at BVC. Thinking that a 2 Bedroom would be ideal for Brothers family and mine however travel agent told us they are booked. Brother found an add on a Time Share web site for approx 15k a week. Seemed a little inexpensive compared to WDW official site. Is it possible to rent directly from DVC memebers?

Are all rooms furnished same, and most importent will we have Disney "Mousekeeping"

Last but not least, if we decide to become DVC memebers is it too late to inlcude this trip?

Thanks for any info!

Yes, it is possible, but unfortunately your timing is poor. BCV is one of the smallest DVC resorts and often fills up 4-6 months prior to check in.

60 days before check-in, travel agents have access to ALL of the unreserved rooms at DVC resorts. So, if your agent is telling you that the resort is full, then even a member wouldn't be able to help you.

The only possibility would be if someone already has a 2B reserved for your exact travel dates, and is looking to rent the reservation. You can always post on the rent/trade board to see if that's the case, but don't get your hopes up too high.

Regarding the cost, that price sounds like someone actually selling their contract at BCV. Seven nights in a 2B at BCV in early February would run you about 314 points. At $10 per point, that would be $3140 for the entire week (Sunday to Saturday night.)

Rooms reserved with points do not include daily housekeeping. Member dues pay for 100% of the operating costs of DVC rooms. The housekeeping component of our dues would triple or quadruple if nightly cleanings were to be implemented. And frankly, after making many DVC stays, we find housekeeping to be more intrusive than anything.

Those who want additional cleanings are welcome to pay for it. The cost is $40 per night for a Two Bedroom unit.

Maybe, maybe not. You'd have to buy Saratoga Springs points direct from DVC. Last I heard they were offering a promotion whereby you could receive a set of Developer's Points for immediate use upon agreeing to purchase. The cost would be $95 per point, and you'd get a full 50 years' worth of ownership at SSR, which also happens to be the resort with the lowest dues in the program.

But that won't help you get a room at BCV a month from now. If you were open to staying at any of the other DVC properties, I think it could be a huge money saver for you down the road. Whatever cash you were going to have to pay for your BCV room in February would certainly cover the down payment on the points. And, DVC can finance the rest for you if you cannot pay cash.
