DVC protocol?

This question is arising from reading responses to my good news about getting BWV add-on points by way of a waiting list. A few people mentioned disappointment that their guides had discouraged them from even trying the waiting list. (By the way, I got an e-mail from someone else that must have the same guide as the one that kept getting mentioned in the responses. You know - the guy who went on vacation. The e-mail contained the same experience with that guide.)

My question is this: If a person is dissatisfied with his guide, is it wrong to request a change of guides? If I realized that I'd been steered wrong by my guide, I think I'd want to make a change. Would it be unethical or against Disney rules to call another guide?

I feel fortunate that I have a guide that I'm very happy with, but I'm just wondering about Disney protocol where guides are concerned.

Anyone know anything?

That is exactly what I recently had to do. The initial disney rep I spoke with had a habit of not returning my calls. This happened twice and I only called him twice!! It was very frustrating.

I called the general DVC and explained the situation and was switched over to someone in the QA department. After a brief explanation, I was promptly given a new rep. They were extremely apologetic about the whole situation. I am now very happy with my guide.

The guides are sales people. If you don't like one get another and let the manager know why you want a change.
