Tanking, might be a rather strong description for resale prices, but I get your concern. Personally, I think the entire Disney Brand is suffering currently.
We just got off the Disney Wonder to Alaska and every public restroom area I was in had cracked or missing tiles, the grout job looked like I had tried to do it myself. In our cabin the safe didn't work and the toilet didn't flush, ironically we had those exact same issues in our cabin on the Magic in May. The room service was terrible. For the first time in many cruises we sat at dinner with nothing to drink multiple times. (in the wait staff defense, I think they were spread too thin) Certainly saved my bar tab that's for sure, we could barely get one drink at dinner not the usually 2 or 3 sometimes. DCL is a premium brand cruise line the experience should match the price IMO.
From there we flew to Orlando for a week in the sunshine, AKL was first, I noted in Feb 24 the rooms were old and worn and in bad need of some attention, so I wasn't expecting any better than I had earlier in the year, but old, worn and dirty is not acceptable. What is up with the paper plates and plastic silverware, why have they not brought back the real dishes like before Covid. We split the stay and ended at RIV with real dishes. Why would not all of the DVC family be back to real dishes by now? Wasn't that the draw of the "Welcome Home" sales pitch? I don't use plastic forks at home.
Disney needs to put some of this revenue back into their products. They are charging more than ever for less than ever. I'm afraid this trend may do more damage to our beloved DVC memberships then any economic or political stances.
( yes, I do know I can go to the front desk and request real glasses and silverware, I didn't this trip it was only 2 nights before we moved to RIV. my point is it use to be standard not special request)
