Does anyone know if they still do this/how many you get? And if so, do they "close" at a certain time?

I am thinking about doing this on our arrival day since we aren't going to the parks. Where is the best place to go to sign up for this? Disney Springs? Or can you go directly to the sales pitch location at Saratoga Springs?

When I did it I got $100 gift card. That was totally worth it. We made an appointment during the day.
Not sure about the Fast Passes though.

Interesting. My friend did it last year and it was unplanned. He didn't get a gift card but he got a few any time fast passes. He didn't schedule it ahead of time like the PP mentioned. Just randomly asked a CM where the bus station was in Disney Springs. It was a DVC booth and they told him they'd take him wherever he wanted to go and give him FP if he sat through a presentation.

I actually am interested in joining DVC eventually, but this seems like it could really be worth your time, especially if the FP can be used for Avatar or Frozen. But a $100 gift card is nothing to sneeze at either.

When you did it, did they do a credit check on you or anything like that? He said they asked to do one but he declined. I wondered if that had anything to do with getting FP instead of a monetary gift. I'd actually prefer the FP.

IIRC, the fast passes exclude Frozen, Seven Dwarfs, Peter Pan, and a few others.

EDIT:
  • Disney FastPass+ service given as part of this offer is not usable at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan's Flight, Frozen Ever After, Toy Story Mania!, The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic, Character greeting experiences, parade viewings or fireworks viewings.

No credit check was done... we did sign up through our lobby at AKL though... not sure if that's why we got the gift card.

I am curious if anyone has had recent experience with getting the fastpasses or gift card after making an appointment online? We are going to have to squeeze this in at their latest time slot available on our arrival day and thought it would be worth making that effort if we were guaranteed to get some time (FP) or money back for the inconvenience of having to rearrange our schedule.

We did a DVC presentation on Monday and got the $100 gift card and 3 FP+.

However, in regards to the GC: we received a letter in our hotel room about the gift card offer and scheduling it by phone or at a kiosk during our trip, and we did have to present the actual letter when scheduling and at the presentation to get the gift card.

We were staying at Jambo, and they had a studio/presentation office at Kidani. They will also pick you up and drop you off in your own van 20 min before your presentation time. We were picked up at Epcot in a van complete with a car seat (which sure beat taking the bus back to AKL).

The latest presentation they had was at 4 pm, which matched perfectly with nap time. Our son fell asleep right before we arrived and slept through it.

They say it takes 60-90 min, but ours lasted 45 min. Not sure if the guy was tired, saw we were tired, the sleeping kid factor, etc, but it was extremely low pressure, pleasant, and informative.

And well worth our time... we had dinner at Boma that night on Disney.

Were you given 3 FP+ per person I assume? Or total?

Has anyone ever done this without booking ahead of time? I'm really curious how they determine whether you get FP, a gift card, or both.

I got 20 FP use anytime, anywhere out of them once... (20 each person). The person you schedule with is the one that kind of dictates what you'll be getting so it's them you want to make sound like "just 3 isn't worth our time to find out more". In my case the 20 was because my time was wasted as the CM lied about something in the original talk and I would have never visited if they knew what they were talking about.. It was kind of a "omg have lots of fastpasses and lets get you to the park you want right away" moment..

We did it and got 10 fast passes total (4 people in our family).

Unfortunately we did this on our last day and weren't able to use the fast passes but some people back at our hotel we're very lucky after we shared them!

Fortunately, we are now DVC members!

We are thinking about doing this in May...are these fastpasses/monetary things always given out? Or are they just for those staying at deluxe resorts already?

My friend wasn't staying on property at all. Just asked a CM at a DVC booth say Disney springs where the bus stop was. It was at the other end of the park. They then said "but if you sit through this presentation we will take you anywhere you want to go on property and give you 3 fast passes. No gift card though. As someone else said, it sounds like whoever books it for you is the one who decides what you get. So I'd negotiate with them.

I did it 3 times in the past...

Once in 2008, 2010, 2011.
The 1st time we did it they gave us 4 cards, each w/ 3 Instant FP on them. They told us when you use all 3 on the card to toss them out. Well we used all 3 on one card and went for a 4th, & low & behold no more. So I proceeded to use 1 more on another card, to make four for us. We did this immediately after and did the same thing w/ the remainder of the 2nd & the overlapping to the 3rd. At this point 2 cards were now null n void.(Or so we thought) Instead of throwing them out (like they said to do) we held on to them. The next morning when we entered HS we immediately ran RnRC And used our expired ones to get 4 new ones....We couldn't believe it....That was the great part....And we were able to do this for one more day, because we did the tour closer to the end of our stay.. This is when they were offering SSR leftovers and newer AKV.

The next time we scheduled it, it was for BLT, and we brought our cards back & they actually replenished them for us....& gave us a $50 GF.
They rushed us through the first time & didn't give us a tour of the place, so maybe that's why they gave us both.

The last time ( when we bought DVC ) We left the kids with friends, @ the Paddock Pool & did a quick deal...SSR Resale...They offered us $100 GC, & gave us last years points as well....

Not sure what they're doing nowadays, but either way, it's a good (no GREAT) deal.:thumbsup2

We did the tour due to the incentive of the $100 giftcard offer we received in our hotel room when we were at WL. We had to show the letter to get the giftcard when we took the tour so I do think you need to be offered the gc in a letter in order to get it. In addition, we also got 3 FPs per person and a reusable blue DVC bag with promotional materials. We went for the gc and ended up buying points at the Poly after researching it some more when we got home. Before the $100 gc offer, I also received a $50 gc before via an email offer to tour a DVC property virtually.

I was just there last week. I had scheduled the tour the week prior to getting there and had only been mentioned the 3 FP. No mention of the gift card. Seemed to have been implied 3 per person but I was just myself. The girl giving them to me was expecting more people. It was for the rest of the stay prior to expiring. Seemed to have used for more than 3 as not sure if it had used my ROL FP or not as I was early going in and it was still showing later that night. They did express caution to not show up early to an already scheduled one as it will use the special first. No issue for me just not sure which was used for 2 as both were shown not used later and the special still was showing as my list as usable.
