DVC postcards & other DVC goods :)

Hello,

We like to collect postcards to remind us of our trips and I wondered if you could buy postcards of the DVC resorts?

I would think it would be unlike Disney to miss a marketing opportunity but can anyone confirm? And if so, can you only buy them at the DVC resort the card is for - ie you can only buy OKW at OKW, VWL at VWL etc?

Also, do they sell stuff like magnets etc of DVC resorts like they do at the other resorts? I've seen polo shirts, but what other merchandise can you get?

I'm not sure of the answer to the postcard one, which surprises me given the number of visits I manage to cram into the OKW store! I do know that you can buy a pack of VB ones at the resort, and I think I've seen Christmas ones at the various resorts with the trees done up in all their finery.

As far as other merchandise goes, you can get DVC mugs, sweatshirts, casual jackets, t-shirts etc. I have a VB key ring but whether they do them for all the resorts I don't know.

When I attended the Member Update meeting at SSR last week one the draw prizes was a DVC golf umbrella and I would love one of those but haven't seen them for sale. I have seen other golf umbrellas at the resorts for $40 (I think) but not DVC. They are also giving our DVC member badges for taking the Member tour round SSR which I hadn't seen before. Apologies if you know all about that.

I've been a bit disappointed with the range of DVC merchandise we've come across.

What I've seen has been very light on small, inexpensive items and based more on fairly highly (IMHO) priced polo shirts, jackets, shorts.

I may have just missed things but, even when I had my wallet at the ready on a mission to buy, I couldn't find anything I wanted!
