We may be staying off property in a vacation home during one of our visits next year. As DVC members, would we still be able to go over to BWV or any other resort were pool hopping is allowed and spend the afternoon at the pool? My DS loves to get involved with the pool parties/games I'm just wondering if this is acceptable since we will be staying offsite. Thanks :)

No, DVC members do not get day use privileges, even at the resort they own at.

It is my understanding that you would need to check in at the front desk of the resort you wished to pool hop to and present your KTTW cards (ie: Disney room key) to be able to pool hop. Since you will not be staying onsite, you will not have this identification. Bummer! :sad2:

Pool hopping is limited to DVC members staying on a reservation through MS, either a points or cash reservation through MS, at a DVC resort.

You likely know this already but just to be sure. As Deb & Bill noted, you have to be staying on points to PH (cash through MS are actually points reservations). Simply staying on property or even at a DVC resort through CRO is not enough.
