DVC Poly,... can you imagine?!

We stayed at POLY over XMAS and really liked it, however walking to MK and the views of MK from CRV would still be our first choice. If they build both we would stay at POLY on occasion though. If they build POLY and not CRV-we would add on at POLY (or GF).

I'd love a DVC at the Poly too, and I've sometimes wondered if they wouldn't take a building (or two) and convert them to DVC. What a perfect time to do the conversion if the resort needs rehabbed anyhow!

I was at the poly around 2004 and they were doing a rehab than, I would hope thing would last more than 3 or 4 years.

Before they added any DVC units at Poly, they better rehab the resort. When we there last year, I was a bit disappointed in how "worn out" the resort looked.

what building were you in?

the older building were completely torn up from the inside out. the only way the stop the mold problem. so those building are just about brand new.

when they first mentioned this - hoped for a dvc building here - but when Disney spend the money to rehab and boy it was a total rehab of the building with the problems. well can't see a DVC here until the problem arises again.

or in the building they didn't tear out that is still in the older construction. you know those prefab ones.

I think it is only the Rarotonga, tonga and aotearoa - I think. the other older building were redone.

the newer building (in late 70's and early 80's) - Tokelau, Tahiti, Rapa Nui were build on site - so they shouldn't have the problems.

always hoping that Tahiti will have the problem and instead of trying to fix it - DVC gets it.....

but that is not likely.

where is Steve when you need him!

but then again we were promised one (and only one) monrail DVC resort. If the CRV is it - well the Polyn would always be the first choice - but CR is almost as good.

kept hoping for a stand alone DVC resort on the Epcot monrail - but don't think that is going to happen either.

No dream of mine.

Nor mine. We stayed there a number of years ago, and we still go to visit, but our hearts are firmly with OKW and AKV. I guess it's one of those "it's a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there" things. :)

It really doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to make a few of the Poly buildings into DVC villas. Maybe if enough people keep talking about it, someone will listen? We stayed in the Polynesian last December 2007 and I loved it. The room was quite dark, but the lobby is awesome and the monorail is so handy.

I would definitely be saving up for that one! We stayed there using points in a conceirge lagoon room and it was worth every one! During the same trip we stayed at the GF and I have to say that we much preferred the laid back vibe of the Poly and son loved the Neverland Club!!!
Lets start a petition and send it to Disney!!!

I love the idea of it. IMO, it would be better suited in theming for a DVC resort than Contemp. I would love to stay there.

We would buy Poly at first avail. Poly is our favorite, and after buying DVC, we were a little sad we wouldn't be staying at Poly again.

The Poly has never been up there as one of my favorite Deluxe Resorts, so I'm not so sure I have any interest in a Poly DVC. I've never really understood the huge fan base who love the Poly so much.

Since I already own at VWL and will hopefully own at CRV, I see no need for a third MK DVC for me.

I would buy there in a hearbeat. We go there every trip to pool hop and buy some KONA to bring home so I would love to just be staying there. At some point I am going to just burn some points there but I haven't been willing to yet. But-to answer your question---YES--I would buy!!!
