dvc points?

How many DVC Points do you need for a disney cruise? I have seen on the rent trade board about people needing extra points for their cruise. Where would I find the amount of points needed for a cruise? Any info would be helpful.

You can find out the number of points by going to the DVC Member home page and look at the point charts. IMHO they want too many points for a cruise I can do better with cash...

We do use our points for cruises because it is hassle free. No looking for renters to buy our points. The number of points depends on the length of the cruise and the time of year. Check the website as mentioned above.

I have looked on the points chart, but I can't find the points needed for the cruise- only the dvc resorts. How many points for a four night cat 6 cruise for two?

Go to the DVC member site, click on View Points Charts and look under Disney Collection, you'll see all the points for DCL and everything else.

I'm thinking this person isn't a DVC member. It is not a cost effective move to rent points for a DVC cruise. Better to go with cash. The reason DVC members do it is because they have already paid into the points, and don't want to rent out the points.

It's better to go with cash if you are not a member.
