I used my DVC Points to book a premium room at Disneyland Hotel...

can anyone tell me what to expect - will I have a Premium view or do you think I should send in a room request?? This is our first trip and probably won't be again for a long time.

Who do I call for Room Requests at DH?/

Thank you.

I had them put a tower request on my reservation, since we prefer (and have always gotten) the Sierra tower. I also asked for a DTD view. We'll see if we don't get it this coming trip, but it's never been a problem before.

Did you put that request on your DVC Reservation??

We leave like in 3 weeks....What is Sierra Tower vs. Tower etc??

The Disneyland Hotel has three towers, Sierra, Bonita and Marina. Sierra is closest to DTD , the pool and the parks, Marina is the main building where the lobby is and Bonita is the furthest from it all and likely where you will end up if you book through something like Expedia or book last minute and don't pay for an upgraded room. That said, we love the Bonita, the walk isn't that much further to the pool, or DTD (maybe 1-2 minutes). They are all three nice and are kind situated in a U Shape around the Neverland Pool. The grounds and koi ponds of this hotel are really beautiful and worth exploring a bit no matter what building you end up in. If you booked a premium view you used more points so you should get something in the Sierra Tower with a view of Downtown Disney. Your DVC confirmation should note this and make sure you get it since you are using the higher points for that view! The Disneyland Resort main number is: 714-956-6425.

Hi BelleBeast, We also will be staying at the DLH on DVC points. I had it noted on my DVC points ressies thru MS, that I would like Sierra Tower and a DTD view. But we have one nite on cash(it was not available on points) so 1 week before I will call the DLH to try to stay in the same room (the 1 nite is in the middle of our stay). And at that time I will also ask about my request.Hope this helps, Joan

if i just used points for the standard room, can i still request sierra or bionta tower, i dont have to have DTD view.

You could get any room on a regular view reservation. You could still request Sierra tower, and might get a room on the lower floors, facing the pool or DTD.

There's really no bad rooms -- everything is almost equidistant. Some of the views lack character but you're hardly ever in your room anyway :)

I agree with this statement completely! I still don't get all the negativity regarding the Bonita Tower and that "extra" walk of maybe one minute. Depending on the season you may luck out and get upgraded to a room with a view. I know one time they were going to put us in a low level room in the Marina but when I asked if we could get the Bonita the cm was thrilled somebody was actually requesting it! We got a room on the 9th floor (I think) with a great view of Disneyland facing towards the pool area (although you couldn't see the pool). I have also gotten pool and DTD views in the Sierra with just a standard reservation. Also, if you check in early in the day you stand a better chance of getting something specific. This is one hotel I probably will never pay for a room/view upgrade because to me the five rooms I have stayed in have been equally nice and we almost always watch the fireworks in the park anyway.

Maybe some of you would know the answer. I haven't been to California in many years. I love it there and I figure for a change, maybe I can get hubby to go to Disneyland with the kids instead of Florida....

My question is: do you get a basic room with DVC Points or can you get a suite style room?... I guess I am spoiled with DVC... Plus it would be alot easier with my kids.

Thanks.
