DVC points determined by check in date?

If I rent DVC points for a week, would the weekly rate be based on the date I check in? It changes from one rate to another during the middle of my stay, but I wasn't sure how that would work if you did a "weekly rate".

The "weekly" rate is just based on the days you're there...so if point amounts change during your stay then you'll pay the higher amount for those days.

The weekly rate applies only when all of the days within your week are in the same DVC Season. If your stay spans two DVC seasons, then you need to use the daily point rates to calculate the cost of the stay, applying the appropriate point rate depending on which Season the night is in and whether it's a weekday night (Sun-Thu) or a weekend night (Fri-Sat).

For example, if your check-in date was Jan 28, 2018 and your check-out date was Feb 4, 2018 you would have 4 weekday nights at the Adventure Season rate (Sun, Mon,Tue, Wed), 1 weekday night at the Dream Season rate (Thu night) plus 2 weekend nights at the Dream Season rate (Fri and Sat).

They post the weekly rates on the charts to help you see what a week would cost. As mentioned, it only works if all nights are in the same DVC "season"
