DVC point rental and different reservation?

I am going to Aulani for 10 days. My question is ..
I have the days but I have to check in and check out 2 times during those 10 days. How does housekeeping work. How do they know is really my 4th day and not my first day of me checking in? Do they combine these reservations? Hope this question is not confusing.. Thanks!!

I can't speak to Aulani but anytime I had any kind of broken up DVC staty at WDW, our housekeeping schedule ended up messed up. We had to call for services, or else they came on the wrong day.

Yes, that's what I figured.. How did it get straighten away? Did they end up charging you?
